I was really nervous about this shoot. I got a call from a woman who wanted some family photos done. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, it turns out her husband is in an assisted living place and is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. S...he told me that she had a son coming from London and a son coming from New York as well as her two daughters. They all wanted to get together and have pictures done because they felt that it may be the last time they would all be together and he would remember everyone. It would be a large group, nine people total, including 3 children and a baby. What if they didn't like any of the pictures and it was the last time they were all together with their dad? What if I couldn't manage that large a group? What if I forgot something I really needed? What if the weather was bad and we couldn't do any outside? I worried about everything that could possibly go wrong for two weeks! These are some of my favorites from the session. I haven't shared them with the family yet...I hope they will be as happy with them as I am.
